Frequently asked questions

Understand the numbers behind your results.

How does the calculator work?

Choose the amount per dose in milligrams (mg), the total peptide in your vial in mg, and the water added in milliliters (mL). You can use the preset buttons or enter a custom value. Results update as soon as all three values are entered.

Concentration = vial strength ÷ water volume. Volume per dose = dose ÷ concentration. U-100 syringe units = volume per dose × 100.

What do syringe units mean?

This calculator uses a U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL, so 10 units = 0.1 mL. These markings describe volume; they are different from the mass of peptide in mg or a compound’s biological activity in IU.

The illustration shows a 1 mL syringe, from 0 to 100 units. If a result exceeds 100 units, the calculated number is still shown and a notice explains that it exceeds the illustrated capacity.

What is the difference between mg and mcg?

Milligrams (mg) and micrograms (mcg or µg) both measure mass. 1 mg = 1,000 mcg. All peptide amounts in this calculator use mg. To convert mcg to mg, divide by 1,000: for example, 250 mcg = 0.25 mg.

How many doses are in a vial?

Divide the total peptide in your vial by the amount per dose. The calculator rounds down to show complete doses. For example, a 10 mg vial divided into 0.5 mg portions contains 20 complete doses. This is a mathematical estimate and does not account for loss or residual liquid.

Does this calculator recommend a dose?

No. The calculator performs arithmetic using the values you provide. Presets are input shortcuts, not recommendations. It does not select a peptide, determine an appropriate amount, or provide preparation or administration instructions.
